Old Mutual International, part of Old Mutual Wealth, has appointed Paul Evans as its new head for the Middle East and Africa region, replacing Brendan Dolan who has now been named as the firm’s sales director.
Evans’ new role will involve developing the firm’s reach in the Middle East and Africa and strengthening relationships with the region’s key distribution partners including financial advisers and banks. He will report to Dolan and formulate strategies to grow the firm’s focus on the high net worth channel.
Evans joined the firm over 16 years ago, spending the last 10 years in the firm’s Dubai office.
Meanwhile, the firm also appointed Priyanka Roy to replace Evans as the area sales manager for the Middle East.
Priyanka, who will now report to Evans, has been working at Old Mutual International in the Middle East for more than two years as a sales consultant.
“I am delighted to make these appointments, and it is testimony to the quality of our business that we can attract, retain and develop such great talent. This is an exciting time for our business in the region, with so much regulatory change afoot, advisers need increasing support from us and a proposition that helps them deliver positive outcomes for their clients,” Dolan said.
In the new role, Brendan will oversee the Middle East, Europe, Singapore and Hong Kong markets.
