Och-Ziff Capital Management Group (Oz), a New-York alternative asset management firm, has named Thomas Sipp as its new CFO.

Sipp will replace Alesia Haas who has stepped down from the role to join cryptocurrency exchange firm Coinbase as CFO.

However, Haas will remain at the company until 1 June 2018 in order to assist with the transition process.

Sipp most recently served as the managing partner at Magis Partners.

He previously also worked at Credit Suisse, where he held senior roles such as CFO and COO of Credit Suisse’s asset management arm and global COO of Credit Suisse’s wealth and asset management unit.

Oz CEO Robert Shafir said: “I worked closely with Tom for eight years and am excited to have an executive of his caliber and experience join our leadership team. We look forward to welcoming him to Oz and are confident he will be a strong addition to the Company. We thank Alesia for her contributions to Oz and wish her well.”
