American investment management firm Northern Trust has named Yen Leng Ong as the new country head of Singapore and head of South East Asia.
In the new role, Ong will spearhead the asset servicing business and will be tasked with driving the growth of the firm’s key business lines such as asset management and capital markets across South East Asia.

By GlobalDataOng has been working at Northern Trust since 2009. She joined the firm as senior product manager and most recently served as the chief administrative officer for the firm’s Asia-Pacific business and head of product management.
She will take up the new responsibility on 1 December 2017 and will report to Northern Trust APAC head William Mak. Her appointment is pending regulatory nod.
