Swedish banking group Nordea has appointed Snorre Storset as its new deputy head of wealth management, effective immediately.
Storset, who is currently head of Nordea Life & Pensions, will also head a new private banking unit combining the private banking units in Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden and International, the bank said.
The bank has also appointed Erik Ekman as new head of wholesale banking. He has held several positions at Nordea Markets within Wholesale Banking since he joined Nordea in 2008. Most recently he held the position as co-head of markets FICC.
Nordea CEO Casper von Koskull said: "With the appointment of Erik and Snorre we have a very strong executive team in place. They have shown strong leadership in their previous positions, and their experience and competence will be a valuable contribution in the continued successful development towards the Future Relationship Bank."
Both Storset and Ekman are appointed new members of the bank’s Group Executive Management (GEM).
