Japanese financial services firm Nomura has set up a new entity known as Nomura Capital Partners Co, which will manage the firm’s principal investment business.

The newly established company will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Nomura.

The Japanese brokerage firm launched its principal investment business by forming a new merchant banking division on 1 January 2018. The company said that Nomura Capital Partners will impart a key role in managing investment business.

The new company will mainly offer equity as a solution for business reorganisations and revitalisations besides business succession and management buyouts

Additionally, the new subsidiary will deliver a number of services to fulfill the growing requirements of Nomura’s clients.
