Japan’s Nikko Asset Management (Nikko AM) has named John Howland-Jackson as the new CEO of its EMEA business.
He will replace Udo von Werne, who will leave the organisation by the end of 2017. The new role is in addition to Howland-Jackson’s current role as chairman of Nikko AM Europe.
Howland-Jackson has more than four decades of experience in commercial and investment banking industry. He has been associated with Nikko AM Europe as chairman since November 2014.
Additionally, the Japanese asset manager named its group head of consultant relations, Ian Lewis, as new head of EMEA sales and global head of consultant relations.
Lewis joined Nikko AM in October 2014 as group head of consultant relations in Singapore.
Both appointments are subject to regulatory approval and will come into effect from 1 January 2018.
