UAE based National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) has appointed Mark Watts as the general manager, head and chief investment officer of its asset management group.
Watts will handle tasks such as developing the investment proposition for the bank’s segregated institutional business and mutual fund products, as well as managing the independent investment process and performance.
He will also serve on the bank’s REIT board positions.
Watts, who has joined NBAD in 2010, has set up and grown the fixed income business to be the largest in the UAE. He has also led the launch of funds, namely the Cautious Income Fund and Sukuk Income Fund.
Watts has over 26 years of experience in asset management.
