French investment bank Natixis has appointed Veronique Sani as its new COO, replacing Norbert Cron.

Sani will take up the new responsibility on 18 September 2018 and join the firm’s senior management committee.

She has an experience of 25 years in the banking industry, most of which was spent at French banking group Societe Generale.

She held various roles at Societe Generale, including head of equity derivatives middle offices, global head of OTC derivatives operations at Societe General CIB, managing director Americas operations at Societe Generale CIB in New York, and CEO at Societe Generale Global Solution Centre. She began her career at Banque Indosuez.

Natixis CEO Francois Riahi said: “With over 25 years of expertise, in Paris, the United States and India, Veronique has successfully led ambitious transformation and operational excellence projects.

“Under her leadership, the Operations and Information Systems Department will remain at the heart of Natixis’ innovation and transformation for its clients and for its employees.”

Natixis, a unit of French bank Groupe BPCE, offers asset and wealth management, corporate and investment banking, insurance as well as specialised financial services. The company employs over 21,000 staff.
