French investment bank Natixis has appointed Francois Riahi as its new CEO, replacing Laurent Mignon who has held the role since 2009.
Riahi will assume the new responsibility on 1 June 2018. Mignon will now chair Groupe BPCE’s management board along with Natixis’ board.
Riahi joined Groupe BPCE in 2009 as deputy CEO and chief strategy officer. He joined Natixis in 2012 in the role of head of corporate and investment banking’s Asia Pacific platform and also became the firm’s executive committee member.
He later also joined Natixis’ senior management committee as co-head of corporate and investment banking.
In January 2018, he joined the management board of Groupe BPCE, with responsibility for finance, strategy and corporate secretariat.
“Natixis has become a company recognized and envied for its expertise and performance, as well as its strong entrepreneurial culture. I would like to pay a warm tribute to all the Natixis teams and in particular to the members of the Senior Management Committee. François Riahi who has significantly contributed to this success will ensure that the ambitions of the New Dimension strategic plan are carried out. I will remain very committed to Natixis’ development,” Mignon said.
