Natixis Global Asset Management has opened an office in Mexico for institutional investors, especially pension funds.
The unit will offer the country’s institutional investors access to investment solutions through its global network of affiliated asset managers based in Europe, Asia and the US.
The firm will also team up with the Mexican Retirement Funds Administrators, with its investment strategy focused on long term goals of clients.
Speaking about the two critical advantages of the new base, Mauricio Giordano, managing director for Mexico, said, "Firstly, it provides investors with the safety and strength of a global group with extensive experience in the institutional market. Secondly the opportunity to access a wide range of investment solutions and sophisticated expertise through each of its affiliate asset managers."
Moreover, this Mexican base will work with a local team to gain better insight on the investment opportunities in the country’s institutional market.
