Natixis Global Asset Management (Natixis GAM) has hired Alex Chang as new managing director and head of its Taiwan business, replacing Michael Chang.
In his new role, Chang will oversee all business initiatives at the company’s Taiwan operations across institutional, wholesale and retail channels.
He will report to Kinji Kato, executive managing director and head of Natixis GAM in Japan.
Chang joined Natixis GAM from ING Funds in Taiwan, where he served as head of the direct sales division. He also held other senior roles at the same firm including acting head of banking channel, head of securities house channel, head of life channel, and head of marketing.
Meantime, Michael Chang will relocate to Singapore to assume the role of director of institutional services for Asia at Natixis associate firm Loomis Sayles.
Herve Guinamant, international CEO at Natixis GAM, said: "Alex brings deep local knowledge and expertise to our Taiwanese operations. Both his considerable experience in the asset management industry and strong reputation amongst retail and institutional investors will be vital in helping us to strengthen our presence and offering in the region."
