Morgan Stanley Investment Management’s middle-market focused private equity division, Morgan Stanley Capital Partners (MSCP), has bought American Restoration, a provider of residential and commercial property mitigation and restoration services.
MSCP is working with the present management team, anchored by CEO Dan Tarantin, who will continue to run the company.

By GlobalDataAmerican Restoration, which has its headquarters in Dallas, uses eight regional brands to conduct business in ten states. Both residential and business clients can take use of the company’s emergency and loss-related mitigation services, as well as its complimentary follow-up repair and rebuild services.
American Restoration has become a platform in the industry, with a blend of strong organic development, knowledgeable M&A, and a focus on consumers in their time of need.
After partnering with Sila Heating & Air Conditioning, Fairway Lawns, Allstar Services, and RowCal, MSCP is making its fifth investment in both commercial and residential services with its purchase of American Restoration.
