By GlobalData"Over the last few centuries, the Middle East has always been recognized for being at the forefront of creativity and the contributions in the fields of architecture, design and the arts continue to be a reference point to date. We at Mashreq believe that we can play a constructive role in that effort enabled by our deep regional roots and compounding presence."
Abuhabsa added: "However, in last decade or so, art is also being viewed and purchased for investment gains purposes and is increasingly referred to as an asset class benchmarked via an index. We again believe, we can play an important role in ensuring that our investors’ views on art are understood, preserved and embraced whilst channeled and rationalized suitably."
