By GlobalDataGlobalData financial deals analyst Prakhar Baghmar said: “The top three advisers, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan, have a significant lead over the rest of the advisers in the list, both from value and volume perspective. Though Rothschild is featured among top three advisers by volume, its non-involvement in some of the big-ticket deals has pushed its ranking down in the league table.”
Raine Group and Robey Warshaw are the two new notable entrants into GlobalData’s top 20 financial advisors league table, despite featuring in just two and three deals respectively.
Legal advisors ranking
US law firm Sullivan & Cromwell dominated the legal advisers league table also published by GlobalData.
In terms of volumes, Jones Day topped the charts with 135 deals during the quarter, followed by Latham & Watkins LLP and Goodwin Procter LLP with 59 deals each. These three advisers are ranked 15th, 3rd and 13th in value terms, respectively.

Baghmar commented, “Although Jones Day surpassed Sullivan & Cromwell in actual deal numbers, some big-ticket transactions by the latter have influenced their positioning on the list.”
