Lyxor Americas has launched a new programme, through which institutional investors can take part in co-investment and selective hedge fund opportunities offered by third-party managers.

The programme will offer exposure to opportunities in high conviction, concentrated, as well as bespoke investments.

At the same time, investors will gain exposure to individual opportunities that is the result of Lyxor’s relationships with nearly 100 hedge fund managers.

The firm will carry out risk and operational due diligence of the opportunities before offering it through the programme.

Lyxor Americas global head of hedge fund research Kunjal Shah said: “We believe today’s markets provide many exciting investment opportunities, particularly in emerging markets that remain undervalued.

“As the economic cycle continues to age in developed markets, we anticipate more opportunities from corporate events affecting the structure of companies.”

The new programme secured a capital of over $300m from external investors till date.

Lyxor Americas CEO Andrew Dabinett said: “Co-investments are playing an increasingly significant role in institutional investors’ pursuit of alpha and absolute returns.”

A unit of France’s Lyxor Asset Management, Lyxor Americas was established in 1999.

Lyxor Americas’ hedge fund research, due diligence, risk, portfolio management and structuring teams support fiduciary management and alternative strategy allocations.
