Longreach Harvest Quant Investors (LHQI), an Australian quantitative manger, has selected data provider Thomson Reuters to strengthen its offering.

Under the collaboration, LHQI will use Thomson Reuters’ QA Direct data management tool that offers a scalable platform to integrate quantitative analysis and investment data.

LHQI partner and head of investments Patrick Cannon said: “Thomson Reuters has the pedigree in data integrity and quality which is essential for our investment process.

“Over the many years we have both researched and managed funds with the globe’s largest firms, we have found Thomson Reuters data to be the most accurate and production sensitive service in the market place for our investment process.  Moreover, they have worked closely with us to ensure a comprehensive data service, tailored to our needs.”

Thomson Reuters managing director of financial and risk for Pacific Daryl Sisson added: “Thomson Reuters data management solutions provide the comprehensive, timely and accurate data fund managers demand. We’re pleased to support LHQI Investors and the quant fund industry across Australia so they can spend more time developing and testing ideas and less time managing data.”
