Lombard Odier & Co, a Swiss multinational wealth management firm, has named Chris Bonello as head of the UK and Northern Europe Desk in Zurich, effective 1 October 2024.

He will report to Duncan MacIntyre, limited partner, and head of the UK Region at Lombard Odier Private Bank.

This appointment will allow the bank’s team in Zurich to carry on its expansion trajectory, with a particular emphasis on the UK and Northern Europe as the group continues to advance its market share in these regions.

Bonello began his professional journey as a trader at the Sydney Futures Exchange and joined Lombard Odier from UBS, where he held several key positions in both the investment bank and the global wealth management division.

He was previously the desk head for UK and Nordics International UHNW, which he intends to cover in his new post at Lombard Odier. Additionally, Bonello is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and CWMA-certified.

MacIntyre stated: “We are delighted that Chris will join us as Head of UK and Northern Europe in Zurich. He has a wealth of international experience and a successful track record of generating growth in a range of environments, for both institutional and private clients. Chris’ strong client focus and proven ability to build close-knit teams will allow us to further strengthen our presence in the UK and Northern Europe.”
