LJ Partnership, a UK-based multi-family office, has expanded its international presence by opening an office in New York.
The New York location is the company’s second US location after its existing office in Miami. The new office boosts its presence to eight locations across Europe, Asia and the Americas.
The company, which manages $14bn in assets for individuals, families, foundations and charities, has hired a team consisting of Christopher Shin, Jeffrey Fulk and Katherine Drake from HighTower Advisors to expand it US business.
The team has expertise in investment advisory and management of alternative assets for high net worth families, family offices and foundations.
Shin will head the firm’s first New York City office. Earlier, he worked as a managing director and partner at HighTower Advisors. Previously, Shin was the head of US portfolio management at Guggenheim Investment Advisors and also worked in management positions roles at Goldman Sachs and Bear Stearns.
Fulk will join as a managing director in the new branch, while Drake will serve as a registered client service associate at LJ Partnership’s new office.
