British law firm Shoosmiths has created a new luxury asset litigation group and hired Elliot Bishop to head the new group.

Based at the firm’s London office at Tower42, the new group will offer specialist legal advice on a wide range of luxury assets including yachts, original artwork and classic cars.

Bishop, who has over 18 years of legal experience, joined Shoosmiths from Hill Dickinson, where he spent the last 10 years of his career within the Yacht Team.

Shoosmiths partner Melanie Chell said: "We are pleased to welcome Elliot to Shoosmiths. We are confident that he will help strengthen and grow our existing luxury asset client base, and we look forward to developing our service offering over the coming months."

Bishop said: "I’ll be working closely with partners from across the business to provide our clients with an extensive service that covers all their legal needs."
