Kleinwort Hambros, an arm of Societe Generale Group, has launched EVA, a digital interactive tool for exploring investment solutions.
EVA is a digital alternative to document-based proposals. It replaces them with an interactive application containing Kleinwort Hambros’ standard discretionary investment solutions.

Initially, it will focus on investments, but future plans are to integrate wealth planning and credit.
The app is designed for iPads, Android tablets and touch-enabled PCs, but can also work on a standard computer.
Investment in digital and people
In addition, Kleinwort Hambros has appointed Gene Salerno, programme lead on EVA, to the role of Chief Digital Officer. Reporting to deupty CEO and CIO, Mouhammed Choukeir, Salerno will direct the development of the firm’s digital capabilities in his newly created role.
Salerno said: “EVA is a leading-edge capability that can positively differentiate us in the market. It further empowers our advisers with the most effective tools to interact with clients, leveraging modern information technologies and data with the human touch.

Gene joined Kleinwort Hambros in 2011 as head of asset allocation and equities and became head of investment strategy in 2015, chairing the Investment Committee and overseeing recommendations for Kleinwort Hambros’ investment management clients. He is the former manager of Global Equity strategy and managed multi-asset portfolios for clients directly.
Kleinwort Hambros, recently expanded its UK team with two appointments.
Among the new appointments was Chris Thomson, who was been named head of UK Regions.
Thompson replaced Leigh Philpot, who had been at the helm for six months.
Thomson served as the head of the Edinburgh office, a role he retained in addition to his new responsibility.
Additionally, Kleinwort Hambros appointed Steven Porter as the head of its client service team.
