Kleinwort Hambros, the private banking and wealth management arm of Societe Generale in the UK, has appointed Matt Falla as the new head of its private banking business in Guernsey.
In addition, Falla has also been named as the deputy head of the firm’s private banking business in Channel Islands.
In the new capacity, Falla is responsible for offering banking and investment solutions to domestic, international clients and financial intermediaries. He is based in Guernsey, and reports to the firm’s private banking head for Channel Islands Clive Wright.
Falla joined SGPB Hambros in 2005 as a senior private banker, and later served as the head of the financial intermediaries team in Jersey and as group head.
He formerly had a stint at HSBC International Fund Distribution, where he worked as a regional manager for Middle East and African intermediary based clients.
“Kleinwort Hambros’ work across the Channel Islands is designed to help support the local growth ambition and position us as the trusted partner of choice for local residents and family offices. Matt’s wealth of industry experience makes him the perfect fit for the role and I am confident he will further develop and add fresh insight to the team,” Wright said.
