UK wealth manager Kleinwort Benson has hired Gemma Woodward as their new head of charities based in London.
Woodward’s new role comes as the culmination of over ten years working with charities and non-profit organisations.
Prior to joining Kleinwort Benson, Woodward was a lead manager of Newton Investment Management’s SRI (socially responsible investment) fund for charities. In this role she focused on charity investment mandates.
Woodward was also previously a part of the charity teams for Henderson Global Investors private asset management business and for Lloyds Private Banking.
Woodward will report to Stephen Rothwell, head of private wealth management for Kleinwort Benson, who called Woodward’s appointment ‘a powerful addition to our growing team’.
In her new role she will continue to give advice to charities on how to manage their cash, provide tailored investment advice in particular how charities can incorporate SRI into their investment decisions.
In addition to her role as head of charities, Woodward will pursue her outside interests as co-chair of Women and Health, a counselling charity in Camden, London.
