Kames Capital, a UK-based investment manager, has appointed Rory Sandilands as the new investment manager in its fixed income team.
Sandilands will be responsible for supporting effective portfolio implementation with a focus on the sourcing of bonds, particularly for the firm’s absolute return bond fund range. He will report to Kames Capital head of credit Stephen Snowden.
Sandilands most recently served at Goldman Sachs, where he held the role of an executive director in the credit sales team for 10 years.
Prior to that, he served as vice president in fixed income credit sales at Morgan Stanley. Overall, he has 14 years of experience in investment banking.
Kames Capital head of fixed income David Roberts said: "We now have five absolute return bond products, with rapidly expanding assets under management.We will utilise Rory’s deep knowledge of the credit market to further enhance our offering and maintain our capacity for continued growth."
