Swiss private bank Julius Baer has hired 10 former Credit Suisse bankers to bolster its team in Portugal.
Among the newly hired personnel is José Maria do Cazal-Ribeiro, who will assume the role of Portugal market head.
At Credit Suisse, where he spent 14 years, Cazal-Ribeiro supported the foundation of the Portuguese franchise. His three decade-long financial career also includes stints at Merrill Lynch International and Banco Espirito Santo.
Besides, Julius Baer appointed Gonçalo Maleitas Correia as the team head of Portugal domestic.
Gonçalo was the Lisbon branch manager and market head at Credit Suisse. He formerly served at Banque Privée Edmond de Rothschild Europe.
Both Cazal-Ribeiro and Correia will report to Julius Baer head of Western Europe Carlos Recoder.

Ana Maria Da Silva and Maria João Abreu were appointed as assistant relationship managers at Julius Baer, while Luis Barreto Xavier was appointed as an investment consultant.
