Julius Baer has elevated Jeffrey Tam as its new head of Fund Specialists in Hong Kong, as part of a move to strengthen its focus on the fund business.
As Fund Specialists head, Tam will focus on funds advisory for the Swiss wealth management group’s clients in Greater China, covering both traditional and alternative investments.
He will be based in Hong Kong.
Commenting on the appointment, Bank Julius Baer head of Fund Specialists Asia Donald Rice said: “We are pleased to announce that Jeffrey Tam has been promoted to take up the role of Head of Fund Specialists Hong Kong, which is a testimony to the depth of talent in our team.”
Tam joined Bank Julius Baer in 2018.
Prior to that, he worked as a funds specialist at Deutsche Bank Wealth Management for three years and was responsible for traditional and alternative fund offerings with focus on hedge funds.

In September, Julius Baer hired three senior-level professionals to boost its presence in Moscow. Vladislav Metnev joined the bank as an investment adviser while Daria Matusevich and Ekaterina Ardasova were appointed as relationship managers.
