Swiss private banking group Julius Baer has hired Carlos Recoder as head of the new sub- region Iberia International, France and Belgium, excluding the domestic Iberia markets serviced out of the group’s office in Madrid.
Based out of Zurich, Recoder will report to southern Europe, Middle East and Africa region head Remy Bersier.

Prior to joining Julius Baer, Recoder held several senior management positions at Credit Suisse in Switzerland and in Spain during the last two decades.
Most recently he served as head of private banking for Western Europe covering Spain, France, Belgium, Portugal and the Netherlands.
Commenting on the appointment, Bersier said: "With his excellent reputation and large network he will strengthen Julius Baer’s position as a specialised wealth manager and chart the course for further growth in these key European markets."
