Swiss private banking group Julius Baer has revealed plans to further expand its footprint in the UK by setting up new offices in Manchester, Leeds and Glasgow.
The bank has hired relationship managers for the new offices and will also form a small team in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Julius Baer did not disclose the number of the new hires or their names but said that all have “proven track records”.
The new offices are expected to open later in 2017, with the recruits expected to join the offices over the coming months.
Julius Baer International CEO David Durlacher said: “We are excited to make such an important addition to Julius Baer’s already strong UK business.”
Julius Baer head of Europe and member of the executive board Yves Robert-Charrue added: “This is another step in Julius Baer Group’s growth strategy. Experienced relationship managers are attracted by Julius Baer’s pure wealth management model.
“The UK, with its deep pool of talent in financial services, is a strategic location for investment and growth.”
