Swiss private banking group Julius Baer has named Vicki Lee as the new group head of its Greater China business.

Based in Hong Kong, Lee will be accountable for growing the bank’s franchise in the Greater China market. She will report to the firm’s head of private banking for Greater China David Shick.

Lee has an experience of over two decades in the private banking industry.

She most recently served as the country team head of China market at UBS Wealth Management, where she spent 12 years.

Lee previously also held senior wealth management roles at HSBC and Standard Chartered Bank.

“Greater China is one of the highest growth regions and is a very important market for Bank Julius Baer. The demand for wealth services is growing rapidly. We are delighted to have Vicki joining us as we continue to grow our business in the region,” Shick noted.

Julius Baer has been recently expanding its team in various markets with several new hires. In January 2018, the bank appointed Calum Brewster as its new head of UK regional offices.

In February 2018, the bank hired five bankers from Credit Suisse for its Luxembourg business and five private bankers from Barclays Wealth & Investment Management for its new office in Scotland.

In November last year, the bank appointed Bernhard Hodler as its new CEO.
