JPMorgan Chase has appointed Daniel Pinto and Gordon Smith as its new co-presidents and co-COOs.
Pinto currently serves as the CEO of JPMorgan’s corporate and investment bank, while Smith serves as the CEO of the bank’s consumer and community banking arm.
The pair will retain their existing roles in addition to talking up their new responsibilities and will report to the firm’s CEO Jamie Dimon.
Daniel Pinto has been working at JPMorgan for 35 years and has led the bank’s corporate and investment bank for the last five years,
Along with Smith, he was handed over the responsibility of overseeing firmwide technology in 2017.
Prior to joining JPMorgan in 2007, Smith worked at American Express, where he served as president of its global commercial card and managed all its domestic card operations in the US.
