The JPMorgan Fundamental Data Science (FDS) Suite has been introduced by JPMorgan Asset Management (JPMAM) on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange.

As a result, the JPMorgan Fundamental Data Science Large Core ETF (LCDS), JPMorgan Fundamental Data Science Mid Core ETF (MCDS), and JPMorgan Fundamental Data Science Small Core ETF (SCDS) are the three new active ETFs that make up The Suite, and they use data science into the building of their portfolios.

The adviser manages the funds using an effective investment strategy that combines data science to create a fundamentally selected equities portfolio.

This data science-based investment strategy is being implemented in two strategies with over $15bn in total assets under management: the JPMorgan Applied Data Science Value Fund (JPIVX) and the equity portfolio that underpins the JPMorgan Nasdaq Equity Premium Income ETF.

Furthermore, this procedure takes important ideas from multiple information sources and combines them with research, data insights, and risk management.

Moreover, the adviser forecasts the financial prospects of each security by processing, analysing, and combining a wide range of data using proprietary techniques. This includes decades of proprietary fundamental research, company financial statements, and other pertinent information.

Overall, the goal is to identify securities that are priced favourably in relation to the associated levels of risk.

Jonathan Sherman, head of the US equity investment specialist team at JPMorgan Asset Management stated: “The launch of the FDS Suite marks a key step in our active ETF strategy as we implement a fundamental approach to navigate today’s complex markets. By combining advanced data science capabilities with our experienced investors and robust risk management, we aim to deliver outcomes that help clients reach their financial goals with confidence.”

Jed Laskowitz, global head of asset management solutions at JPMorgan Asset Management added: “ETFs are liquid, transparent, cost-effective, tax-efficient, and flexible—that’s why ETF technology is quickly becoming the vehicle of choice for financial advisers, their clients, and increasingly, institutions. We’re thrilled to add the JPMorgan Fundamental Data Science suite of Active ETFs to our lineup.”

The FDS Suite will have two executive directors managing the portfolio in tandem: Andrew R. Stern and Eric Moreau.

In addition to his current position at JPMorgan, where he combined his passion for data science and financial analysis, Moreau previously held positions in equity data science, core research, and US disciplined core equity quantitative research. He is currently a portfolio manager on the US disciplined core equity team.

Furthermore, Stern is a portfolio manager with the US core equity team. He co-portfolio manages the fundamental data science suite of products along with operating as the main portfolio manager for the US GARP and US sustainable leaders’ funds.

In addition, Stern holds a long-term tenure in the Sustainable Investment Leadership Team (SILT) at the company and participates in the voting process on the JPMAM North America Proxy Committee.
