
JP Morgan Private Bank has appointed Koh Eng as the head of JP Morgan Trust Company in Singapore.
Eng will be based in Singapore and report to Martin Pollock JP Morgan head of international trusts and estates.
She will lead the trust company’s growth plans and strategy, working closely with JP Morgan Private Bank’s wealth advisers and bankers to structure, evaluate and onboard new fiduciary business and opportunities.
She will lead a team of professional trust officers responsible for daily trust management operations.
Eng has over two decades of experience in the trust industry. She was most recently trust centre resident manager and director of Credit Suisse Trust in Singapore.
Prior to that, she worked at Standard Chartered Trust (Singapore) and Rothschild Trust (Singapore).
Latest developments at JP Morgan
Last month, JP Morgan Asset Management acquired forest management and timberland investing company Campbell Global from BrightSphere Investment for an undisclosed sum.
The firm also launched JP Morgan Private Capital to offer customised solutions for early and growth stage companies across the capital structure.
In May this year, JP Morgan Private Bank named Elaine Zhang as its new China market leader for Singapore.
In April, JP Morgan asset & wealth management arm has embarked on the road to recovery in Q1 2021, reporting an 86% surge in net income and a 20% increase in net revenue.
The unit’s net income for three-month period ending March 2021 stood at $1.24bn, versus $669m a year ago.
Total net revenue was $4.08bn, of which asset management contributed $2.18bn and global private bank contributing $1.89bn.
