British fund manager J O Hambro Capital Management (JOHCM) has named Alexandra Altinger as the new CEO for its UK, Europe & Asia operations.
Altinger will assume the new responsibility on 9 September 2019, pending regulatory approval.
She will operate out of London, succeeding Emilio Gonzalez who had been heading the business on an interim basis since last August.
Gonzalez, the CEO of JOHCM’s Australian-listed parent Pendal Group, will now relocate to Sydney.
Altinger’s financial endeavour began at Banque Nationale de Paris in Tokyo.
She most recently served as the CEO of Sandaire Investment Office, a UK-based multi-family office.
At Sandaire, she spearheaded the business integration following the firm’s takeover of Lord North Street Private Office.
In her financial career of more than 25 years, she also had stints at Lansdowne Partners International, Wellington Management International, John Hancock, and Goldman Sachs.
Gonzalez noted: “Ms Altinger’s leadership roles, cross-border experience and expertise in wealth and asset management made her the standout candidate for the role.
“She is a strong and proven leader and the right person to continue to drive the next stage of the company’s growth as we add new investment strategies and build upon the success of our existing investment teams.”
Currently, JOHCM is on the lookout for a CEO for its US business.
