Ivory Investment Management, a Los Angeles-based investment management firm, has named Craig Pollak as head of its institutional marketing.

In this role, Pollak will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with institutional investors. He will be based in Ivory’s New York office.

Pollak joins Ivory from Guggenheim Fund Solutions, where he served as managing director and head of sales for the Americas. Before that, he was at Ivory from 2006 to 2011, serving in a substantially similar role.

Prior to Ivory, Pollak served as vice president of client strategies at Morgan Stanley.

Commenting on the appointment, Ivory founder and head portfolio manager, Curtis Macnguyen, said: "Pollak brings a wealth of knowledge to the firm as our head of institutional marketing and we are fortunate to have him rejoin to broaden our capabilities and visibility with institutional investors, especially pension funds, endowments and foundations.

"There is significant renewed interest in long/short equity investment strategies and Ivory is well positioned to continue to deliver for our investors," Macnguyen added.
