Investec Wealth & Investment (IW&I) has appointed Rob Jones, Darren Elmes and Steve Hart as senior investment directors to the Bournemouth office.
Reporting to Scott Jones, head of IW&I’s Bournemouth office, the three join from Barclays Wealth’s Bournemouth office where they were directors.
All three have over 25 years’ experience in discretionary portfolio management.
Commenting on the new hires, Scott Jones said: "They bring with them significant experience in managing portfolios on behalf of private clients as well as charities, trusts and pension funds. Working closely with our existing team, they will play a key role in expanding our presence in Bournemouth and throughout the South West. These appointments build on IW&I’s success in expanding its investment teams across several of its UK offices."
Jones has been the director in charge of Barclays Wealth’s central south offices since 2003 and has overseen a period of rapid growth in revenue and assets under management (AuM).
Following Barclays’s acquisition of wealth management firm Gerrard, Elmes moved to the former’s Bournemouth office in 2008 and became a director of Barclays Wealth in 2012.
