Investec Wealth & Investment (Investec W&I) has hired two former Barclays directors as new senior investment directors for its Bournemouth office.
The pair will play a major role in boosting the firm’s private client base throughout the region and will report to head of the Bournemouth office Scott Jones.

Elmes and Hart joined Investe from Barclays Wealth’s Bournemouth office where they worked as directors. Prior to this, they worked together at Capel Cure Sharp, Gerrard.
Elmes began his career in 1986 at Lloyds Private Banking in Bournemouth where he worked as an investment manager, while Hart started his career at Richard Chubb Love Rogers in Salisbury in 1986.
Jones said: "They bring with them significant experience in managing portfolios on behalf of private clients as well as charities, trusts and pension funds. These appointments build on IW&I’s success in expanding its investment teams across several of its UK offices.
‘Working closely with our existing team, they will play a key role in expanding our presence in Bournemouth and throughout the South West," he added.
