Investec Wealth & Investment has appointed David Jones and Richard Goodier specialising in higher net worth offering as senior investment directors to expand its Manchester based private client team.

Jones and Goodier will be reporting to Jonathan Quick, divisional director and head of IW&I’s Manchester Office.

In their new roles, both will bring significant expertise and experience to IW&I’s private client team for the North West and will help cater for the strong inflow of new clients.

Jones and Goodier joins the firm from HSBC, where they were responsible primarily for the successful expansion of the firm’s private banking services.

Jones with over 30 years experience in the financial services sector specialising in investments and private wealth management where he was providing comprehensive financial planning to high net worth clients and small to medium-sized companies.

Goodier with 14 years of industry experience specialises in high net worth portfolio management.

He worked for nine years with the Royal Navy and then with HSBC, where he managed a portfolio of entrepreneurial clients as well as serving as the Northern team’s hedge fund specialist.

Goodier joined BWD Rensburg, part of Investec Wealth & Investment before moving on to HSBC.
