Investec Asset Management has signed an exclusive distribution arrangement with Capital Strategies Partners (CSP) to expand into Portugal.
Investec stated that the move is part of its strategy to grow Portugal and Spain into key components of its continental European business.

A local team, led by CSP’s Pedro Costa Felix, has been building and supporting Investec’s local client base since last year.
“The launch of Investec Asset Management in Portugal provides investors with access to a new suite of global and regional solutions,” Felix noted.
Investec Asset Management global head of adviser Richard Garland said: “Our South African roots and strong foothold in emerging, and international markets position us as a differentiated and uniquely qualified investment partner to help our clients navigate today’s markets and those of the future.”
Investec Asset Management also has offices in New York, London, Cape Town, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Sydney. The company has approximately €119bn in assets under management.
