Invesco Private Capital, a unit of American asset manager Invesco, has appointed Carl Stanton to the newly created role of managing partner and head of private equity.
Stanton will be responsible for expanding the firm’s scope in private equity to incorporate opportunistic buyouts as well as special situations.
He has more than two decades in the private equity space, and most recently served as the managing partner at Wellspring Capital Management.
Invesco Private Capital co-head Greg Stoeckle said: “We are excited about the contributions that Carl can make to offer a broader array of financial solutions for our partners and investors.”
Invesco Private Capital operates in areas of private equity, distressed credit and venture capital.
“The alignment of these capabilities and the ability to share ideas across our private capital business along with access to the broader resources of Invesco create a uniquely strong platform that we can further build upon with the addition of Carl to our leadership team,” Stoeckle noted.
