US-based wealth management firm Insigneo has hired Daniel de Ontanon from Citi Private Bank to serve as its new CEO.
de Ontanon will assume the new responsibility on 30 April 2018, replacing Raul Henriquez who has been at the helm since 1985. Henriquez will however, remain chairman of the board.
de Ontanon has an experience of over two decades in the financial services industry. At Citi Private Bank, he led the Americas Investment Services unit.
He also served as the head of sales at Citibank International Personal Banking for Latin America and president at Citi International Financial Services. He previously was also worked for UBS International and Morgan Stanley.
“Daniel has earned a stellar reputation for his leadership and extensive global wealth management experience, and he has a clear vision to take Insigneo to the next level—all of which are critical ingredients for our company’s continued growth. We are confident Daniel is the right executive to lead Insigneo in its next phase of strategic expansion and growth,” Henriquez stated.
