Dutch banking group ING has named Gerald Walker as its new regional head in the Americas, replacing Rudolf Molkenboer who held the role since March 2013.

Walker has been serving ING and its predecessors since 1990, holding various roles including regional head in the UK (including Ireland and the Middle East).

He also held several non-executive roles including chairman of the Board for The Association of Foreign Banks, and board member of TheCityUK and the International Business and Diplomatic Exchange (IBDE).

Walker will take up the new responsibility on 1 July 2017.

ING head of wholesale banking Isabel Fernandez said: “Gerald is an empowering leader, with a broad range of experience and a keen customer focus.”
