ING has hired Anneka Treon as global head of private banking, wealth management, and investments, effective 1 September.
This is a new position in which Treon will help to maintain the growth of the retail bank, specifically by expanding its private banking & wealth management division and investment business.
Treon will be reporting to Pinar Abay, ING’s worldwide head of retail, market leaders, and challengers & growth markets, as well as a member of the banking management board.
With 18 years of experience in the financial business, including positions at Van Lanschot Kempen, Goldman Sachs, KPMG, and Rothschild, she has substantial background in management.
Treon has a demonstrated record of accelerating business growth, including developing an investing identity and conviction at Van Lanschot Kempen, improving investment advisory for private customers, and internationalising the investment bank.
Abay stated: “This appointment marks an important step in our commitment to further expand our investment business and grow our private banking & wealth management segment into a strong pillar of our retail bank. Anneka brings strong expertise and a track record of growth in this segment, which makes her perfectly positioned for this new role.”
