Bradbury Hamilton, a London-based IFA, has purchased SBB Consulting, a Leeds-based advisory firm, for an undisclosed sum.
The deal, which marks as Bradbury Hamilton’s 48th acquisition since its start in 1993, will boost its funds under management by £15 million.
SBB Consulting, operated by principal David Boult, has a client base in the region of 1,000 in and around Yorkshire and also has a high proportion of corporate business.
Additionally, the firm is planning to buy two more firms by the end of this year.
Bradbury Hamilton managing director Sheriar Bradbury said that the acquisition will strengthen the firm’s presence in Yorkshire.
"We already have a strong Manchester presence, but the addition of David’s business will see us reinforcing our position as leading advisers in the region.
"Finding businesses that have a strong commonality in ethos and approach but where we can add value is key to the success of our strategy and we have ambitious plans to acquire more client banks in Yorkshire," he added.
Boult said: "I have every confidence that Sheriar and his team will continue providing our corporate and personal clients with the quality advice and service they have come to expect."
