HSBC Private Banking has hired Credit Suisse banker Patrick Ho to take up the role of Asia investment strategist.

Based in Hong Kong, Ho will be responsible for managing the development of regional investment and product strategies across all asset classes.

In his 23 years of financial career, Ho worked in equity research, portfolio strategy and asset allocation areas, including 11 years in private banking.

Ho most recently served as director of greater China equity research at Credit Suisse Private Bank.

He previously also served as Asia-Pacific head of thematic research and deputy head of equity at UBS Wealth Management, as well as had stints at BNP Paribas, Bear Stearns, DBS Vickers and Worldsec.
