High net worth investor confidence has dramatically increased to its highest level since the global financial crisis of 2008, according to the deVere Group.
deVere Group reports that 57% of respondents felt confident about the investment outlook over the next twelve months, an increase of four points compared to the previous year. In addition, the survey, which was responded to by 756 clients, finds that 77% of (HNW) investors are ‘committed to investing more over the 12 months.’
The last time confidence levels were higher was in March 2007 with 59%, before the global financial crisis.
Nigel Green, deVere Group founder and chief executive, said: "As this global sentiment survey concludes, there is a growing sense of optimism amongst high net worth investors. But as ever, high net worth individuals should take nothing for granted. The key for wealth preservation is diversification and the compounding effect on re-investment as a defence against inflation."
