Henley & Partners, a citizenship and residence advisory firm, has appointed Juerg Steffen as its new group CEO as part of a senior management restructure.
Steffen, a Swiss lawyer and private banking executive, is currently Henley & Partners’ group COO. He formerly managed the firm’s Singapore branch.
In the new role, he will replace Christian Kälin who will now re-focus on his role as group chairman. Kälin has been serving as the CEO on an interim basis.
“We are the only truly global player in this industry. We have built a unique platform that will help us to further demonstrate the necessary corporate rigor and excellence, both to ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UNHWIs) and to any sovereign state considering adding an investment migration option to its foreign direct investment strategy,” Steffen stated.
As group COO, Steffen will be succeeded by Marco Gantenbein who formerly served as managing partner of the Dubai branch.
“We will open further offices and enlarge existing operations globally. Henley & Partners is a unique firm; in many ways, we operate like a large financial institution with a lot of internal checks and balances, yet we also retain our entrepreneurial spirit when entering new countries and markets. I am extremely positive about the future of our firm and our industry,” Gantenbein noted.
