The financial services company GSB has opened a fresh division called GSB Capital, which will concentrate on the debt and equity capital markets for its network of individual and corporate clients throughout the world.
With teams in the UK and the UAE, the new subsidiary GSB Capital offers M&A, growth capital (debt and equity), direct investment, debt advising, and other advisory services.
In order to oversee the recently established division, Grant Bergman has joined as global head of GSB Capital.
Given prior experience launching and leading private company advising teams for finnCap (now Cavendish Financial plc) and Investec Bank plc, where he provided advice on numerous international transactions, Bergman offers over 18 years of investment banking experience to London.
He received a Bachelor of Commerce in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics as well as a Postgraduate Degree in Enterprise Management from the University of Cape Town.
Moreover, as part of its development strategy, GSB Capital plans to introduce a co-investment vehicle later this year that will enable it to provide more support to internationally impactful, disruptive, and inventive enterprises.

- GSB Wealth: provides experienced guidance on all elements of financial planning, such as pension and retirement planning, investment planning, tax planning, cash flow simulation, insurance, and more.
- GSB Private: provides high net worth and ultra-high net worth people, families, businesses, and structures with an independent platform for private banking, private finance, and private offices. In addition, GSB Private Finance, the company’s in-house whole-of-market debt and finance brokerage, serves as an outside asset manager.
