Jupiter Asset management has appointed Miles Geldard as portfolio manager of the Jupiter Second Split fund taking over from departing Philip Gibbs.
Geldard, who has been with Jupiter since 2010, is head of the fixed interest and multi-asset team as well as joint manager of the Jupiter Strategic Total Return fund, Jupiter Global Convertibles fund and Jupiter Strategic Reserve fund.
Chairman of Jupiter Second Split Gordon Campbell said: "We are pleased to welcome Miles as portfolio manager of the company. He has built a strong reputation for managing multi-asset portfolios and we look forward to working with him."
With a background in convertibles and multi asset strategies Geldard has 30 years experience in the industry and was previously founder and head of the multi asset team at RWC Partners and head of the global multi asset and global strategy teams at JP Morgan asset management.
In July, Jupiter announced that James Clunie would be managing the Jupiter Absolute Return fund on the departure of Gibbs.
