Franklin Templeton continues to optimise its operations for future development prospects and has reorganised its distribution leadership teams to meet local customer needs.
London-based Matt Harrison has been appointed head of Americas (ex-US), Europe & UK, global advisory services and will head the firm’s businesses in the Americas (ex-US), Europe, and the UK.
Harrison will remain to report to Adam Spector, EVP of global advisory services.
The merged area covers numerous markets, including Canada, Germany, Iberia, Italy, Latin America, and the United Kingdom, totalling $245bn in assets under administration.
Spector stated: “In recent years, we’ve substantially expanded our investment capabilities, strengthening our value proposition for our clients. Our extensive global presence continues to be a competitive advantage, reinforcing our commitment to and confidence in local markets. From a leadership perspective, Harrison, Ashton and Villegas have proven track-records at the firm, and I am delighted to see them assume new responsibilities.”
Having worked in the financial services sector for more than 25 years, Harrison has had several executive and leadership roles at Franklin Templeton, such as managing director of Australia, head of Europe and the UK, and co-head of APAC.
