Fiduciary Trust Company International, a unit of Franklin Templeton Investments, has tapped fintech firm Advizr to develop digital capabilities for its advice-based services such as wealth planning, investment management, and trust administration.

The wealth manager will leverage Advizr’s cloud-based technology to create holistic financial profiles for its HNW clients.

These profiles, the wealth manager said, will help advisers gain better insight on their clients’ needs and thereby offer clients better planning with asset allocation selection matching their specific goals.

Fiduciary Trust CEO John Dowd said: “By furnishing a complete financial picture of each client, Advizr’s technology will empower our wealth advisers to provide more dynamic and proactive advice, and will provide clients with greater transparency to help them engage more meaningfully with their advisers.

“By working with Advizr, our clients will receive sophisticated financial planning through a unified business relationship and structured approach.”

Franklin Resources, the parent of Fiduciary Trust, invested in Advizr in June last year.

Franklin Templeton Investments president Jenny Johnson added: “Our investment in Advizr is part of an ongoing focus, across our organisation, on being innovative in how we advance our global business.

“We will continue to evaluate new opportunities for us to incorporate technologies that can enhance our ability to deliver superior investment performance and meet the evolving investment needs of clients.”
