Fidelity International has named Michael Gibb as the head of stewardship and sustainable investing, a newly created position.

Gibb will be responsible for managing the firm’s policies on engagement, voting and environmental, social and governance (ESG) integration across its active fund range. He will report to the firm’s CIO of equities for Europe, Paras Anand.

Gibb, with an experience of 27 years in the industry, previously worked as co-head of global wealth management distribution at Martin Currie Investment Management.

Earlier, he also worked at Credit Suisse and Gartmore Investment Managers.
